Position: Technical Solution Manager

Overview:
As a Technical Solution Manager, you will act as a trusted IT advisor to clients. You will be the primary point of contact to understand client requirements and deliver solutions that align with their business goals. This role requires a well-rounded skillset and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across organizations to deliver efficient, value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the solution team, including coaching junior team members to achieve goals effectively.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support pre-sales activities by providing product consultation, technical presentations, and solution recommendations to clients.
  • Translate client business requirements and customer journeys into visual flows or diagrams that are easy to understand and use for solution design.
  • Prepare business requirement documentation tailored for both government and private sector clients.
  • Design solution architectures, analyze pros and cons, estimate constraints, and develop suitable implementation plans.
  • Coordinate the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for project-based work and work closely with product partners to manage resources, including product booking and planning.
  • Organize and oversee product testing activities (Demo or Proof of Concept - POC), collaborating with relevant teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation including:
  1. Technical Proposal
  2. POC Documents
  3. Statement of Work (SOW)
  4. Statement of Compliance (SOC)
  5. Data Sheets aligned with SOC topics
  6. TOR requirement documentation
  • Lead technical aspects and manage multiple concurrent projects (minimum 5) in different stages (e.g., requirements gathering, solution design, bidding).
  • Review and ensure quality and accuracy of solution specifications and proposals from other consultants.
  • Present solutions to clients with clear articulation of benefits, problem-solving capabilities, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Define project scopes and collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project management, implementation, and support teams) for accurate cost estimation and execution planning, both pre- and post-award.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT industry, particularly in pre-sales or related fields, with exposure to Network, Server, Storage, Virtualization, CCTV.
  • Strong knowledge of networks, servers, storage systems, and IT resource management to meet client requirements.
  • Excellent time management skills to deliver solutions on time and address client pain points efficiently.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to various technologies. Must be willing to follow a personalized development plan with prioritized learning areas such as Big Data, Data Center, Systems, Network, CCTV, and Video Analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Capable of coaching, delegating, and transferring knowledge to junior solution consultants.
  • Strong negotiation, advisory, and presentation skills.
